Squeaking in my 4th lesson of the month in my 30 Days of Learning experiment, in the last hour of a full and busy day.
My lesson today is the truth that music feeds our souls and touches our hearts. It has the ability to lift us out of darkness by touching our heart with such tenderness that we are forever changed.
A magical combination of notes and chords, instruments and lyrics placed in just the right combination, sung by the perfect voice and VOILA! We are transported to another world, if only for a few moments.
I grew up in a home in which my mom sang everything she was feeling. It was like living in a musical. I would be up the street playing with my friends in the summer and I could hear my mom singing, her voice carried through the open window, all through the neighbourhood. She had the most gorgeous voice ever. I am certain that my affinity for music was born from my childhood and my exposure to such magic.
I came home tonight from a wonderful day, feeling tired and ready for bed. Upon checking my FB fan page I listened to a post shared by Helen Filipe-an AMAZING woman. It is so beautiful it woke me up and stirred my imagination.
Here it is…so worth sharing. It is perfect for our I Believe She’s Amazing
